We want to congratulate the CodeCave Inc. employees that were part of the winning team of the Shmoocon CTF this year!

For those that are unaware, Shmoocon is an annual infosec / security conference held in Washington, DC. As with virtually every other respectable security conference, Shmoocon hosts a CTF during their conference. These types of competitions test hacking teams' ability to, well, hack things across an intimidatingly large spectrum of disciplines.

This year, the Shmoocon CTF was hosted by Kaizen and, along with the usual CTF tasks, had an intriguing focus on the CAN bus and car hacking.

In a dramatic last second (literally, last 7 seconds) effort, a team comprised partially of CodeCave talent emerged victorious over 200+ other teams to take first place! Well done!
